SGS-42/SCN-9A began transmission on 1 January 2004 as Ten-affiliated station Southern Cross Ten.

The callsigns stand for Spencer Gulf South Australia and Southern Cross New South Wales. National programming comes from TEN Sydney along with a rebroadcast of Ten Eyewitness News (now 10 News First) from ADS Adelaide.
