Surya Citra Televisi (abbreviated as SCTV) is the second-oldest privately owned Indonesian television channel (after RCTI) and the third-oldest Indonesian television channel (after TVRI), as well as one of the most-watched television channels in the country.

It was launched by Bimantara Citra (now Global Mediacom) on August 24, 1990, to relay RCTI shows in Surabaya and other cities on eastern Java. Today, it is broadcasting nationwide and owned by Emtek, through its subsidiary Surya Citra Media).

1990–1993

SCTV Indonesia 1991

While founded as a local station in Surabaya in August 1990, the early abbreviation of SCTV was Surabaya Centra Televisi. In 1991, SCTV expanded its coverage to Bali and the full name of the channel had become Surya Citra Televisi.

1990–2003

This logo, appearing in idents from 1990 and 1991, was officially introduced on August 24, 1993, as SCTV began to air nationwide together with RCTI, following the moving of their headquarters from Surabaya to Jakarta.

2003–2005

On August 1, 2003, the logo was slightly modified.

2005–present

SCTV Logo

On January 29, 2005, for the first time since its founding, SCTV fully replaced its sunrise logo, introducing a new slogan, Satu Untuk Semua (One For All in Indonesian).
