The SM mall used to be owned by Ever Gotesco until the mall was permanently destroyed by a fire in March 17, 2012. Demolition of the mall structure was made from 2012 to 2013 and for a time it was an artificial lake.
SM City Grand Central[]

SM Prime Holdings acquired the property in 2018 and rebuilt the mall as SM City Grand Central The mall was originally to be named SM City Caloocan But was scrapped for SM Prime Holdings Buying a plot named SM City Caloocan (curiously retaining the Grand Central naming), that opened on November 26, 2021.
