SPH MediaWorks

SPH MediaWorks Ltd. was the second terrestrial television broadcaster in Singapore, founded by Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) on 8 June 2000. It operated two television channels: Channel U and Channel i, thus becoming a competitor to Mediacorp at the time.

On 17 September 2004, both SPH and Mediacorp announced that they would merge the television operations. The merger with Mediacorp was completed on 31 December 2004, and Channel i ceased transmission on the next day.
