Saclà was founded in 1923 by Secondo Ercole as "SALPA" which is an abreviation of Società Anonima Lavorazione Prodotti Alimentari (Anonymous Food Processing Association).

In 1939, the company changes its name to "SACLA", an acronym of Società Anonima Commercio Lavorazioni Alimentari (Anonymous Processed Food Retailer Society).

In 1965, the logo undergoes its first change: a new logotype, with a printing character font, encased by a blue house to communicate family values.

The brand name was also altered to "Saclà" to be more musical for its first TV advert which created the jingles like: “Olivolì, Olivolà, Olivolì, Olive Saclà!”

1969–1974[]

In 1969, the letters were changed to all be the same height.

The whole logo is completely changed in 1974, abandoning the old layout and appearance in favour of a new combination of colours, shapes and aspect. The characters are in capital green font, below an abstract red crown, all within a thin green frame.

1981–1998[]

Sacla (1981)

In 1981, the logo is modified yet again. The crown is futher simplified with the three circles become half-circles cut horizontally and the line underneath it is removed. An red line underlines the unchanged logotype and the frame is made thicker and changed from green to gold.

1998–2003[]

Sacla (1990s)

In 1998, the crown is completely changed to a create an effect it has been created with flowing red brushstrokes and the font is altered. The frame is also reverted back from gold to green.

2003–present[]

Sacla'

The Saclà logo was modernised in 2003 with an updated crown and wordmark.
