This was originally introduced as a secondary logo in the original 1996 video game albeit on the eyecatch screens and post-2002 PC releases of said game. It is still used by Sega today for certain purposes.

A new logo debuted on 1 July 2002 during an announcement for the Sakura Wars World Project. This logo was used in all games released from In Hot Blood onwards except the 2019 video game of the same name.

This logo would be used by both Sega and Red Entertainment for the international release of So Long, My Love (which was published by NIS America) and mobile game collaborations featuring characters from said series until 2017 when Sega gained full ownership of the franchise.
