The emblem logo was introduced in 1997, it featured a snowflake with three separate sections.
Mascots
In 1999, the mascots were introduced. A long-haired hare, a bear and a coyote. Their names were revealed during a BYU Football game in Provo, Utah. The final names were chosen by Utah schoolchildren: Powder, Cooper and Coal.
