2018–2020[]
In June 2018, French television companies: France Télévisions, Groupe M6, and TF1 announced that they would launch a new video-on-demand service to challenge Netflix, under the name Salto, the service is expected to launch in the first quarter of 2020. It will trial the new platform on June 3, 2020 for a launch test.
2020–2023[]
Salto ceased its operations on March 27, 2023, following a common decision between all groups and investors[1].
