On August 29, 2012, Samsung announced the ATIV Smart PC series the first Windows tablets by Samsung Electronics, on October 26, 2012, the ATIV Smart PC series was released in United Kingdom with the ATIV Smart PC and the ATIV Smart PC Pro tablets.

On December 14, 2012, Samsung rebranded the ATIV Smart PC series to the ATIV Tab series. this logo has only used for original ATIV Tab model.
2013–2014[]
On June 20, 2013, Samsung redesigned the ATIV Tab series logo with announcing the ATIV Tab 3 tablet and rebranding the original ATIV Smart PC and ATIV Smart PC Pro to the ATIV Tab 5 and ATIV Tab 7, the ATIV Tab 3 was released on September 1, 2013 as the latest model in ATIV Tab series, after it stopped producing a new tablet in ATIV Tab series. the ATIV Tab series was discontinued in 2014.
