On December 18, 2012, Samsung announced that they were replacing the Galaxy R series by the Galaxy Grand series. On January 21, 2013, Samsung replaced the Galaxy R series by the Galaxy Grand series. but this logo was only used for the original Galaxy Grand smartphone.

2013–2016[]

In 2016, the original Galaxy Grand series was merged with the Galaxy A series and the Galaxy J series.

2016–2019[]

Since 2016, the succeeding Galaxy Grand series models were released as the rebranded models of some of the Galaxy J series models. In 2019, the Galaxy Grand series was completely discontinued.
