Santa Isabel is a Chilean supermarket chain, part of the conglomerate Cencosud.

1976–1985[]

The first Santa Isabel logo consisted on a shopping cart with the letters "Sta. Isabel". It was used on print advertising until 1985.

1985–1999[]

1985–1994[]

In 1985, the panda appeared complete and back, the text "SANTA ISABEL" in its own typography (similar to AvantGarde) in red.

1994–1999[]

In 1994, he focused only on the wordmark, occasionally with the panda bear behind the logo.

1999–2011[]

In 1999, the panda bear was replaced by a red circle with the letters "Santa Isabel" in cursive Frutiger Bold typography and underneath it a white smile. This logo was designed by Chilean agency IMAX Branding[1].

In 2002, the logo circle gained a 3D effect upwards.

In 2011, Santa Isabel tried to introduce the name SISA (shorthand of Santa Isabel Sociedad Anónima), using this logo in advertising and even opening stores with this logo. Although the logo was dropped the same year, the name SISA is still used as an in-house shorthand for the supermarket.

The logo was the same, only with the name replaced by its acronym for Helvetica Rounded typography.

In August 2011, the red circle and smile completely disappear from the logo, replacing them with the Cencosud circle behind the Santa Isabel brand.
