Sara Lee Corporation
1985–1999
In 1985, Consolidated Foods Corporation took the Sara Lee Corporation as the new company name. It was named after the eponymous desserts brand, which the company acquired in 1951.
1999–2012
In 1999, Sara Lee Corp. adopted the 1994 Sara Lee brand logo. On July 4, 2012, after several spin-offs and divestments, Sara Lee Corp. was broken up into two food companies; D.E. Master Blenders 1753, a coffee and tea company (which eventually became Jacobs Douwe Egberts in 2015 after merging with the coffee division of Mondelēz International), & one involved with fresh meats and some dessert brands, which was renamed as Hillshire Brands until 2014, when it was acquired by Tyson Foods.
