Saudia, formerly known as Saudi Arabian Airlines, is the flag carrier of Saudi Arabia, based in Jeddah.

Saudia renamed itself to Saudi Arabian Airlines and introduced a new identity, logo and livery on 16 July 1996. Like its predecessor, the new logo included two crossed scimitars and a date palm tree. A faint crescent moon was added.

On 29 May 2012, the Saudia name was revived to celebrate the airline's entry to the SkyTeam alliance.
