Scooby-Doo was a comic book series based on the Scooby-Doo animated series, primarily the original Scooby-Doo, Where Are You? incarnation. The series was published by Gold Key Comics from March 1970 to February 1975, before the license to Scooby was acquired by Charlton Comics. Charlton would continue to publish the series from April 1975 to December 1976.
1970-1976[]
Issues #1 through #16 of the Gold Key run used the byline "Where Are You!".
Issues #3 and #4 of the Gold Key run had the Scooby-Doo text split into two lines, with issue #4 also having the "Where Are You!" byline on two lines.
Starting with issue #17 of the Gold Key run, the byline "Mystery Comics" was more commonly used, with the "Where Are You!" byline intermittently being used.
With the switch to Charlton in 1975, the "Where Are You!" byline would return in a different font.
Unlike most Gold Key comics that were continued by Charlton, the same logo was used for the entirety of both company's runs, with only the byline changing.
