Scratch refers to both a visual programming language and its accompanying website created by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's MIT Media Lab.

This prototype logo could be seen on the Lifelong Kindergarten website from 2002 to 2004.

This logo could be seen on the scratch.mit.edu domain before the release of Scratch, and remained in the Scratch editor until Scratch 2.0.

Scratch Logo

Used primarily before 2013, with it being phased out from nearly all uses following the release of Scratch 2.0. In 2024, a bug occurred where the Scratch website favicon was this logo.

Scratch3D

An alternate logo, used for a short time. This logo is still seen on the navigation bar of pages not migrated to the Scratch 3.0 website, such as profile pages, My Stuff, and the Scratch forums.

Scratchlogo

During the release of Scratch 2.0, the Scratch Team decided to change the logo to have no highlight, but a blue outline instead.

This logo was released along with the new Scratch update launched in June 28th, 2023.[1]

2015–2019 (secondary), 2019–present (primary)[]

Scratch

As of 2015, the Scratch Team decided to update their logo to have a white outline outside the logo, and to be changed to primarily orange. When Scratch 3.0 launched on January 2, 2019, this became the primary logo for the entire platform.
