ServiStar was originally a line of store-branded products sold at American Hardware Supply Company affiliated stores, and then a unified name for said stores. In 1988, AHSC changed their name to ServiStar Corporation. True Value acquired ServiStar in 1996 and all remaining stores were rebranded as True Value locations by 1999.
