Seven HD Digital
2004–2007
Originally, channel 70 was occupied by the Seven Network with a continuous promo loop under the name Seven HD Digital showcasing extracts from a variety of its programs.

2007–2010
In 2007, the channel was renamed Seven HD and was relaunched as a high definition simulcast of the Seven Network's main channel.
2016–present

After the relaunch of Nine HD in November 2015, the Seven Network announced their intentions to restore Seven HD. The channel is planned to be ready by the start of the 2016 AFL season in March. As a result, 7mate will be reduced to a standard definition broadcast.
