With Big Boy mark
Shoney's was a long-time franchisee of the Big Boy system. Until 1976, the company's restaurants were branded as "Shoney's Big Boy". Shoney's withdrew from the Big Boy system in 1984. At the time Shoney's represented a third of the national Big Boy chain.
