On May 1, 2010, Scandinavian company NonStop Television launched Showtime, Star! and Silver in South Africa through an exclusive distribution agreement with On Digital Media.[1][2] In addition, the channel was launched in Ghana and East Africa (in partnership with Next Generation Broadcasting) on May 1,[3][4] and in Kenya and Uganda on June 1.[5] However, as early as August 2010, the three channels were extended to Nigeria and West Africa (in partnership with Multimesh Broadcasting Company).[6]
