On November 1, 1997, the Sky "egg" look debuted on all of Sky's channels, and on that same date, all (but one) of Sky's movie channels became Sky Movies Screen (number), including Sky Movies, which was rebranded as Sky Movies Screen 1.
In September 1998, the entire Sky Movies brand was dropped from all of Sky's movie channels, splitting them into several Sky movie channels, with plans to drop the entire Sky "egg" look from all of its channels one month later in 1998.
With the launch of Sky Digital in October 1998, Sky MovieMax was expanded from one channel to four (Sky MovieMax, Sky MovieMax 2, Sky MovieMax 3 and Sky MovieMax 4).
In 1999, Sky Moviemax debuted a new look and logo, coinciding with the launch of Sky MovieMax 5.
