Smosh started using their symbol on their logo which was created back in 2003. The opening was first used when "The California Stereotype Experiment" was released.

In 2009, the logo was modified, becoming the most iconic intro of the channel. Following the departure of Anthony Padilla in mid-2017, Smosh removed its SHUT UP! opening.
