Used in conjunction with the next logo until at least 1980, The logotype would often be colored a solid orange on private-label brands and plastic bags.
An advertisement revealing the new logo, as seen in the St. John's Evening Telegram. Dated January 17, 1973.
1977–present[]
Subtle changes were made to the logo with the launch of the "Check Us Out" advertising campaign in 1977, such as improved spacing and a redrawn letter y. As with the previous logo, the logotype would often be colored a solid orange on private-label brands and plastic bags. The company's main color scheme was updated to a solid green by the early 1990s, and has stayed that way since. This logo is still occasionally used in local advertising, with it also being seen on a few older locations. The 'four-circles' mark is currently used in the corporate logo.
2003–present[]
More changes were made in 2003, when the company introduced it's "Ready to Serve" tagline. The logo is stretched slightly, letter spacing was again improved, and the two Ss and single e were redrawn.
