Song of the South premiered on November 13, 1946. As was common at the time, the on-screen title card differed from the logo used in promotional materials.
1946, 1956[]
Promotional materials would use a different logo. This logo would also be used for the movie's first reissue in 1956.
1972, 1973[]
The movie's second reissue in 1972 introduced a new logo. It would be reissued again the following year as a double-feature with The Aristocats in the United States.
1986[]
Song of the South was reissued one final time in the United States in 1986 with a new logo. This was the final major issue of the film to date in the US.
1991 (United Kingdom), 1999 (South Africa)[]
Song of the South has been released twice in English on home video, exclusively in the United Kingdom and South Africa. These two VHS releases has been the only two major releases of the film to date in the English-speaking world.
