CD Sonic the Hedgehog Team was an internal title used for the game's development team, when Sega CS1 was involved in early development. - Shortly after Sega CS3 become the lead developer for rest of the game's production.[1] The logo first surfaced in August 2023 with Sonic's co-creator Naoto Ōshima sharing a photo of storyboard documents he drew for the game's opening animation at early point of the development.[2][3]
