Sonic Jam was first shown at Tokyo Game Show 1997 Spring event.[1][2] The computer generated ribbon logo is used for title screen in the final game and promotional products during the game's release.[3]

The box art for the game used basic print logo when it was released in Japan on June 20, 1997. Sega later re-issued the compilation game under the SegaSaturn Collection budget label on July 23, 1998.

For the international logo, "SONIC" wordmark was cropped from Sonic 3D Blast logo for reuse, while the rest of the logo was made of vector graphics.[8]
