Sonic Riders was revealed at Sega's Consumer Business Strategy Presentation at the Tokyo Game Show event on September 9, 2005, while the logo debuted during the opening of the official Japanese website on the same day.[1][2] Released for the Nintendo GameCube, PlayStation 2, and Xbox in February 2006, the game would be later ported to PC DVD-ROM in November 2006.
The PlayStation 2 version of the game was later re-issued in Germany on July 9, 2007, while in South Korea, the PlayStation 2 version was re-issued under the BigHits label on April 17, 2008.[3][4] The PC DVD-ROM version was later included as part of Sonic PC Collection compilation bundle in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Israel.
