Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity logo was revealed in the first trailer released online on August 22, 2007.[1][2][3] First released in United States on January 8, 2008, the international version of the game was available for the Wii and PlayStation 2. In Japan, the game was alternately titled as Sonic Riders: Shooting Star Story and it was released only for the Wii on January 17, 2008.
