Sony Le Plex HD was an HD-only English premium movie channel in India, similar to MN+ HD, Star Movies Select HD and &privé HD. It was abruptly closed down on New Year’s Eve 2018.
2016–2018
Launched on 22 August 2016.
The channel graphics were created by Argentine design agencies Medialuna and Naranja y Canela. They later rebranded SPN’s flagship channel, SET, in 2016; Medialuna had also rebranded fellow English movie channel Sony Pix in 2013. Graphik was the on-screen typeface.
Sony Le Plex HD shut down on 31 December 2018 along with Sony’s other HD-only channels, Sony Rox HD and Sony Ten Golf HD.
