Sony Music Entertainment (abbreviated as SME, or commonly known as Sony Music) is a group of 4 major record labels, including Columbia, Epic, Arista and RCA. It is the music division of the Tokyo-based Sony Corporation. The company was created in 1991 after Sony bought music assets from CBS.
