Sony Pal

Sony Pal is a Hindi general entertainment channel (GEC). It was launched on 1 September 2014 as a women’s interest channel; however, due to low ratings, it was converted into a GEC in February 2015, airing reruns of old Sony TV and Sony Sab shows. Similar channels include Zee Anmol, Star Utsav, Colors Rishtey and Big Magic. Until 2019, it was free-to-air.

The Hindi word pal means ‘moment’. Sony Pal is SPN’s only channel (other than Sony Aath and Sony Marathi) whose name is not written in English.
