Sound Transit (ST), officially the Central Puget Sound Regional Transit Authority, is a public transit agency serving the Seattle metropolitan area in the U.S. state of Washington. It operates the Link light rail system in Seattle and Tacoma, regional Sounder commuter rail, and Sound Transit Express bus service.

1993–1996[]

An early logo used by the transit authority, but was completely ditched before the Sound Move vote in 1996, where the operating name was shorten to Sound Transit though it's still officially known as the Central Puget Sound Regional Transit Authority.

1996–present[]

This logo was first seen on Sound Move promotional material in 1996 following the vote that passed. Sound Transit officially began operations on 19 September 1999 with the Sound Transit Express bus service, operation on the ST Express service being contracted out to Community Transit, King County Metro, and Pierce Transit. A year later, their Sounder S Line began under contract with BNSF. In 2003, the N Line launched along with the T Link Line, using the Link branding, followed by the Link Right Rail's Central Line (now Line 1) launching in 2009 from Westlake to Tukwila International Blvd, soon Lynnwood to Angle Lake, Link Right Rail Line 2 launched on 27 April 2024 with a starter line from South Bellevue to Redmond Technology.
