Upon Ahold’s sale of Bi-Lo and Bruno's to Lone Star Funds in December 2004, a holding company was created. Bruno's and their subsidiaries Food World and FoodMax were spun off in 2007. Bi-Lo Holdings would merge with Winn-Dixie in 2011, taking their headquarters in Jacksonville, Florida. Bi-Lo acquired Harveys, Sweetbay, and Reid's from Delhaize Group in May 2013, and converted the latter two into Winn-Dixie and Bi-Lo stores respectively.
