SpongeBob SquarePants was originally called SpongeBoy Ahoy! during the early development of the show. The title was scrapped to avoid copyright infringement with a mop that already used the name "SpongeBoy".
This logo was never finalized and was only seen in a storyboard page of the pilot episode.
