On August 31st, 2023, Pittsburgh Penguins owner Fenway Sports Group announced they would buy AT&T SportsNet Pittsburgh from Warner Bros. Discovery, then renaming the channel SportsNet Pittsburgh, which started on October 2nd, 2023. New sister channel New England Sports Network will handle day to day operations.[1]
