Stansted Express is a rail service that operates between from London Liverpool Street station to London Stansted Airport. It is operated as part of the East Anglia franchise and was formerly part of the West Anglia Great Northern franchise until 2004.
Stansted Express (first era)
The service was rebranded Stansted Skytrain upon privatisation in 1996.
Stansted Express (second era)
The original name returned in 2000 when the original Class 322 fleet of trains were replaced with refurbished Class 317s.
Further Class 317s were refurbished in 2006 into a slightly different colour scheme which introduced a new logo.
In 2012, Abellio won the then named Greater Anglia franchise. Therefore it also became the operator of the Stansted Express.
