Star Kirano is an upcoming Odia-language general entertainment channel (GEC) in India, and the Star TV Network’s first regional-language channel outside the big six regional languages (Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali and Marathi). It was scheduled to be launched on 24 January 2022 in both SD and HD feeds. However, on 26 November 2021, this and other changes were indefinitely postponed, due to a delay in the TRAI’s new tariff rules. They are now expected to launch some time in 2022.
