An HD version was launched in 2011 along with ESPN HD . In 2013 it was converted to Star Sports HD1 (English) which was rebranded to Star Sports 1 HD (English) in 2017.
Star Sports 3 and HD3 (dedicated Hindi channel) [ ]
2013–2017 [ ]
The Star Sports channels were rebranded on 6 November 2013, with a unified Star Sports brand replacing the individual Star Sports, Star Cricket and ESPN brands. Star Cricket became Star Sports 3, a dedicated Hindi channel; Star Cricket HD became Star Sports HD1, which in 2017 became Star Sports 1 HD .
HD: 2015–2017 [ ]
In 2015, before the 2015 Cricket World Cup , Star Sports HD3 and HD4 were launched. However, Star Sports HD4 was shut down in 2017, and Star Sports 4 became Star Sports 1 Tamil .
Star Sports 1 Hindi and 1 Hindi HD (dedicated Hindi channel) [ ]
2017–present [ ]
The Star Sports network was rebranded again on 28 May 2017. Star Sports 3 and HD3 became Star Sports 1 Hindi and 1 Hindi HD to accentuate the channel's language.
The Star Sports 3 name was revived on 15 September 2018 when a new channel of this name replaced Channel V India.
