Star Sports 1 Marathi was launched on 15 July 2019, after the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 ended.[1] [2]
After failing to be added by TV platforms, it was scheduled to be discontinued on 1 December 2021, along with Star Sports 1 Bangla (which was scheduled to be replaced by Jalsha Josh ) and several other Disney and Star channels in India.[3] However, on 26 November 2021, these changes were indefinitely postponed, due to a delay in the TRAI ’s new tariff rules. The channel is now expected to shut down some time in 2022.[4]
