The State Bank of India (SBI) is a government-owned bank in India and the largest bank in the country by assets. It has more branches than any other Indian bank, both within and outside the country. It is the only Indian bank to feature on the Fortune Global 500 and is also the fifth-largest employer in India.
SBI has various subsidiaries such as SBI Life Insurance, SBI General Insurance, SBI Mutual Fund and SBI Card.

After merging with Bharatiya Mahila Bank and five other banks, SBI unveiled a new logo and corporate identity on 5 April 2017. The iconic keyhole logo is kept the same but the wordmark has been modernised. Effra by Dalton Maag is the corporate typeface.
