1985–1991[]
| NO KNOWN LOGO |
Prior to 1991, Studio Ghibli didn't have a logo. Their films and merchandise were primarily marketed under Nibariki (a studio founded in 1985 by Miyazaki and Takahata to handle the copyright of their work) and Tokuma Shoten (Ghibli's original parent company until 2005).
1991–present[]
A logo for the studio was eventually introduced beginning with 1991's Only Yesterday, featuring Totoro and Chibi Totoro from My Neighbor Totoro as its mascots.
1993–present (secondary)[]

| SVG NEEDED |
This logo was introduced in 1993 as a simplified secondary logo for the studio. It is usually used in place of the main Totoro logo on official merchandise, soundtrack releases, home media releases, and social media hubs. The mascot is based on Chibi Totoro (in a simplified form) from My Neighbor Totoro.
Trivia[]
- The name "Ghibli" was chosen by Hayao Miyazaki due to his passion for aircraft and also for the idea that the studio would "blow a new wind through the anime industry"
- Totoro from the 1988 film, My Neighbor Totoro is the company's official mascot.
