Sun Bangla is a Bengali-language general entertainment channel in India, and the Sun network’s first TV channel not broadcasting in the four South Indian languages (Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam). It was launched on 3 February 2019[1] as a free-to-air channel,[2] replacing Gemini News.[3] It competes with Zee Bangla, Star Jalsha, Colors Bangla, Aakash Aath and Rupashi Bangla.

Another non-South Indian channel, Sun Marathi, was launched on October 17, 2021 after tests throughout the previous two years.
2023–present[]
On November 28, 2023, Sun Bangla launched its own HD channel.
