Sun Marathi is a Marathi-language general entertainment channel in India, and the Sun network’s second TV channel not broadcasting in the four South Indian languages (Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam), after Sun Bangla, which was launched on 3 February 2019. Originally a test transmission on the defunct Udaya News’s frequency,[1] after a delay of more than two years, it was launched on 17 October 2021.[2][3] Its competitors include Zee Marathi, Star Pravah, Colors Marathi and Sony Marathi.
Like Sun Bangla, Sun Marathi is a free-to-air channel, and unlike Sun Bangla, it is also present on DD Free Dish.
