2015–2020[]
On 20th March 2019, SANZAAR announced the Sunwolves would be cut from the Super Rugby roster after the 2020 season. When the season was disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic and other teams eventually formed isolation leagues for the year, the Sunwolves were prematurely dissolved.
