1994–2012[]
Since the creation of both MultiChoice and DStv, the channel began operating on its own and then become known as simply SuperSport. M-Net will however show limited sports highlights form the channel. This activity/practice ended on September 30, 2007.
2012–present[]
SuperSport re-branded in 2012 owing to the switch to both contemporary viewing and HD-feed technology. The super sport wording moved to the right of the S logo (now with straight downward slope) and was shaped as the current SuperSport.
