In 2011, Sendas, CompreBem and ABC CompreBem were discontinued by GPA, being replaced by its nationwide chains (Extra, Pão de Açúcar and Assaí Atacadista).
Supermercados Compre Bem
2018-present
In 2016, GPA started to work in reliving the Compre Bem brand. At first with Aliado CompreBem, a partnership with small neighborhood groceries and convenience stores.
But in 2018, a new initiative brought the brand back as a supermarket chain, replacing some Extra Super-labeled stores. This time, as a competitor against regional supermarket chains which became very popular in the latest years.
