In 2011, Sendas, CompreBem and ABC CompreBem were discontinued by GPA, being replaced by its nationwide chains Extra, Pão de Açúcar and Assaí Atacadista.
Supermercados Compre Bem[]

In 2016, GPA started to work in reviving the Compre Bem brand, originally with Aliado CompreBem, a partnership with small neighborhood groceries and convenience stores. However, in 2018, a new initiative brought the brand back as a supermarket chain, replacing some Extra Super and Extra Hiper stores, this time as a competitor against regional supermarket chains which have become very popular recently. In 2023, some stores has been reconverted to Extra Mercado brand, with a new logo for Extra brand. In August 2023 all stores has been converted in Extra Mercado, ceasing again the brand after 5 years.
