NSTU, known as Suspilne Movlennia (also stylized as Suspilne Ukraine, UA:PBC from 2015 to 2020, and Suspilne from 2019 to 2022), is the newest state-owned public broadcaster in Europe. It was introduced in 2015 and established in 2017 as a result of the merger between the National Television Company of Ukraine (NTKU) and Ukrainske Radio, which are both state-run entities. Suspilne Movlennia operates three TV channels, four radio stations, 24 regional TV channels, and 30 regional radio stations.
Unlike some Ukrainian neighbours, such as Romania (TVR and ROR) and Poland (TVP and PR), which still have separate public broadcasters for television and radio, Suspilne Movlennia provides both types of media under one organization.
On November 28, 2019, UA:Pershyi was temporaily renamed to Suspilne Pershyi on Facebook. This was followed by UA:PBC's renaming to Suspilne (which means "Public" in Ukrainian) on December 5, 2019. The new corporate logo features a teal semicircle designed in the shape of the Cyrillic letter "S". It was planned to adapt the corporate logo for the new channel logos in 2019-2020, but this was ultimately not possible due to the National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine's refusal to renew the license.
