Swiss International Air Lines has been Switzerland's flag carrier since 2002 and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lufthansa Group. The airline was formed directly after the bankruptcy of Swissair and adopted many of the former airline's assets.

2011–present[]
On 18th August 2011, Swiss International Air Lines announced it would be "sharpening its brand profile." The new logo and its tagline, "Our sign is a promise," was introduced in October 2011. The livery also gives a minor change, which replaced the airline's name based on previous logo on front fuselage with this logo.
