This logo was a temporary introduction after the sudden renaming of Tunisie 7 to the more neutral Télévision Tunisienne 1 the day after Zine el Abidine Ben Ali's ouster. The name Tunisie 7 and its similar predecessors had been imposed by the government to commemorate Ben Ali's rise to power on 7 November 1987 and used his favourite colour, reported as purple, in its idents after 1997.
