Televisió de Catalunya's satellite broadcasts began testing between September 10 and 11, 1995.
TVC Internacional[]
1996–2001[]
After considering the tests to be successful, on April 23, 1996, TVC Internacional began its' first broadcast.
TVC Sat[]
1997–2003[]
In addition to that, on September 15, 1997, TVCSAT, a different channel from TVC International, began broadcasting on the Via Digital pay-TV platform. This channel has also been broadcast on DTT since 1999. On July 21, 2003, to coincide with the merger between Vía Digital and Canal Satélite Digital, TVCSAT's broadcasts began to be replaced by those of TVCi's, which caused the former to go off the air.

TVC International changed its logo in 2001.
TV3 CAT[]
2009–present[]
On May 28, 2009, TVCi was renamed into TV3 CAT.
