Sportskanalen Denmark[]

1995-1996[]

Sportskanalen was launched as a danish sport channel in March 1995 together with TV6 Denmark and ZTV Denmark. All three channels shared the same frequency and channel slot, ZTV during the day, TV6 in the evening and Sportskanalen on the weekends.

In April 1996 Kinnevik decided to merge all three channels into TV3+ Denmark, due to low viewership and struggle to maintain all 3 channels in one channel slot.

Viasat Sport (pan-Nordic)[]

1999[]

TV3 Sport (Denmark) was launched in 1999 as Viasat Sport a pan-Nordic sports channel, alongside Viasat Xtra, an extra sports channel for special sports events which needed more channels to cover, & for pay-per-view services. This logo however was short lived.

1999-2000[]

After few months of broadcast Viasat Sport and Viasat Xtra got a new updated logo.

2000[]

In January 2000, Viasat rebranded all their owned tv channels to have a similar look and appearance, to make the brand stronger and more whole. All their channel got a circle around and added the word "VIASAT" at the bottom. However this look for Viasat Sport and Viasat Xtra was short lived as well, only lasted for 3 months.

2000-2004[]

Viasat Sport and Viasat Xtra got a new look and logo.

2004–2005[]

In 2004 Viasat launched 3 new sports channels; Viasat Sport 1, Viasat Sport 2 and Viasat Sport 3.

2005-2006[]

In April 2005, Viasat launched their first (and only) 24-hour sports channel called Viasat Sport 24.

Viasat Sport Denmark[]

2006-2007[]

In 2006, Viasat separated the pan-Nordic version of Viasat Sport 1 channel into Swedish and Danish versions.

The new look for the sports channel adopted a logo similar to Viasat SportN.

Viasat TV 2 Sport (Denmark)[]

2007-2008[]

Viasat Sport 1 Denmark was closed down and replaced with Viasat TV 2 Sport (Denmark), while Viasat Sport 2, Viasat Sport 3, Viasat Golf and Viasat Xtra continued In Denmark.

Viasat Sport 24 was rebranded as Viasat Golf in 2007 as a pan-Nordic channel due to low viewership.

In May 2008, Viasat launched Viasat Sport HD - their first pan-Nordic HD sports channel - in order to promote the Viasat HD platform in Scandinavia, which by this time was available in Denmark.

2008-2009[]

In 2008 Viasat Golf got a new updated logo with the Scandinavia-wide branding.

2009-2013[]

In 2009 Danish version of the Viasat Sport 2 and Viasat Sport 3 was closed down. Viasat Golf and Viasat Xtra continued as usual in Denmark as the channels was Nordic wide.

Viasat Xtra adopted a new look and logo, in the same style as the Viasat logo.

Viasat TV3 Sport (Denmark)[]

2013–2017[]

In 2013 Viasat TV 2 Sport (Denmark) was closed down and replaced with TV3 Sport 1 Denmark and TV3 Sport 2 (Denmark).

2017–2018[]

In 2017 Viasat TV3 Sport 2 (Denmark) was replaced with TV3 Max (Denmark), and Viasat TV3 Sport 1 was renamed to Viasat TV3 Sport.

In September 2016, Viasat launched Viasat Ultra HD as Viasat’s and Scandinavia’s first 4K TV channel as a pan-Nordic sports channel.

TV3 Sport (Denmark)[]

2018-2020[]

Viasat TV3 Sport changed name to TV3 Sport and also got a new updated logo and look similar to TV3, TV3+ and TV3 Max.

2020-2024[]

On 1 June 2020, Viasat Ultra HD, Viasat Golf and Viasat Live - along with V Sport (Sweden) and V Sport (Norway) - was rebranded to V Sport. This was done after Viasat and Canal Digital (Satellite) merged into Allente. This was decided because they wanted to create their own brand and identity away from Canal Digital and Viasat.

2024-present[]

On August 19, 2024 Viaplay Sport News was launched.
